Wudaoying Favorite, Daily Routine, Now Offering Free Slider with Brooklyn Sours

One of Beijing's best kept secret drinking spots, Daily Routine, is upping their game with a mouth-watering food-drink pairing that over the next couple of weeks.

Head over between Monday and Friday and bag yourself a free mini burger when you order one of their new Brooklyn sours. I guess slider is the preferred lingo, but I can't help but think about the TV show Sliders starring Jerry O’Connell. Wouldn’t that be great though, if for every Brooklyn sour you ordered, you were given one episode of the sci-fi TV show Sliders. I give permission to any bar wishing to up their marketing game to steal this idea.

Their Brooklyn sours are delicious, featuring a robust, sharp mix of rye whiskey, cinnamon syrup, grapefruit juice, maraschino liqueur, and grapefruit bitters. Pairing this with a tiny burger is a delicious but dangerous combo because you can’t eat or drink just one. We recommend four for a premium buzz.

They also have a bunch of other new spring friendly cocktails and delicious eats available, including the Garibaldi (RMB 55 Campari, fresh orange juice), avocado green giant (RMB 65 gin, avocado, green apple, mint, lime), secret crush fizz (RMB 65 Lillet Blanc, Aperol, grapefruit juice, soda water), and finally the lavender gin fizz (RMB 60 homemade lavender gin, lime juice, simple syrup, soda water). Sip any of these alongside a stack of blueberry pancakes or a bagel sandwich to get your evening started off right.

Along with the new cocktails, there are also some renovations slated for the venue, such as an extension of the bar area next week to draw more attention to this cozy Wudaoying café’s serious selection of drinks. Daily Routine is our favorite places to work or study and drink in peace without the risk of running into the distractions common with most bars. There’s nothing better than getting a little buzzed while brushing up on your Mandarin or writing a blog like I’m doing right now with a moderately priced (RMB 55-65), delicious drink in hand.
