The Gloves Come off as VSports Throws Their Hat in the Ring for Best Sports Bar and Restaurant in Beijing

The Workers' Stadium has had its reputation as being the place for college kids hanging out at the clubs and the football fans of Guo'an as well as the occasional big concerts. However, it is still a symbol for sports, and VSports is trying to bring this back to the masses. Located at the heart of the Workers' Stadium, it covers 700 square meters devoted to everything around sports, be it football, basketball, and anything that is considered an athletic competition.

Although sports-themed restaurants are everywhere these days, VSports is bigger, broader, and really moves the goalposts. The food menu features classics like burgers, pizza, and other things you would expect from a place with this reputation but goes beyond that to bring portions that fill the whole team. Their XXL burger comes in weighing a whopping 1.5kg and is definitely the undefeated champion in the ring. Try it yourself and if you can finish it in 30 minutes, it’s free. Several other XXL options such as ribs round up the menu that has something for everybody.

The drink menu boasts a good selection of any drinks that you might want when enjoying a game on one of VSports' huge screens or more than 20 TV’s throughout the whole establishment. Premium beers such as Carlsberg, Hoegaarden, and Guinness are on tap, as well as a large array of great cocktails from classics to modern twists and several absinthe-themed drinks.

If you’re looking for a great deal on Wednesdays, head over for ladies night with a free bottle of house wine for groups of four ladies or more, and sangria at just RMB 38 all night. Alternatively head down for gents night on Sunday when groups of four guys or mor get a free bucket of Tiger beer, as well as old fashioneds for RMB 38 all night long. Fridays' buzz night promises different drink promotions every two hours ranging from draft beers to cocktails and shots, enough to keep the ball rolling all night.

One thing that VSports does probably better than any of their competitors is the selection of entertainment throughout the venue. Anyone can take on the challenge and choose between pool table, foosball, beer pong, darts, or basketball arcade to get their game on. Currently they have a weekly pool challenge every Tuesday with a buy-in of RMB 25 that gets you your choice of Carlsberg draft or a soft drink and the chance to go for the glory with a cash price pool and monthly vouchers for the champions of the month. More competitions are to follow during the upcoming months.

Looking to get your game on, watch your favorite team score or just have a good time with friends? Head over to VSports and roll with the punches!
