Dance Into 2017 With Yen's Countdown Party
As with every year, Yen is preparing to take you into 2017 with a party you won't forget. This year's New Year's Eve countdown party on December 31, starting at 9pm, will be no different and threatens to blow the lid off of Tango, just north of Yonghegong, with the festivities are expected to go on until late, or should we say early.
DJs to ensure that you'll stumble out and sweaty, grinning mess, greeted by the new year's first dawn, include Mickey Zhang, Dio, Raddamras, and Darcy, with techno, house, trap, trance, and drum and bass on tap to keep you moving throughout.
Advance tickets are RMB 100, or RMB 180 at the door on the day. If you want to do the night in style you can also get VIP tickets at RMB 300 per ticket (which includes the ticket, a VIP pass, and RMB 100 in drink tickets), or RMB 1,400 for five VIP tickets, or RMB 2,500 for 10 (more info on the poster above).
Get your presale tickets either online (via Mosh or Youyanchu) or buy them in person at various venues across town, including Aperitivo, Jazz-Ya, Lush, Zarah, and Temple Bar.
While I personally feel too old for parties like these, getting closed on New Year's Eve at a Yen party is a Beijing right of passage and guarantees a debauched and memorable time, so if you're new in town this is one not to miss.
