EAT: Pancake Day at Moka Bros, Vegan Mediterranean Chef's Table, Fu Tapas Walking Tour and Wine Tasting

In honor of Shrove Tuesday (AKA Pancake Day, AKA the day you should stuff yourself to bursting with sweet and savory slabs of flour and eggs), Moka Bros will give the people what they oh-so do desire: pancakes, pancakes, and more pancakes. Take your pick of toppings between lemon and sugar, bacon and maple syrup, and berries and homemade yogurt, for just RMB 15 per pancake. Get your fix at any Moka Bros location in town all day long.

Another event to get excited about later in the week is Mimi e Coco's Chef's Table on Thursday (Mar 2), a three-course, fully vegan gourmet dinner with wine pairing per course, all for RMB 198.

Appetizers will start to be served at 7.30pm and the dinner will go on through 9.30pm. Bookings are required as there are only 10 seats in total. Book your seat in advance by calling 8401 6288 or 8403 5004. See the image above for the full Mediterranean-inspired menu.

If you prefer combining your eating with walking around, check out Fu's East meets West hidden hutong walking tour and dinner. A guided tour of Beijing's oldest alleyways starting from Zhangzizhong Lu will end with delicious tapas and an organic wine tasting with descriptions from owner Sohan and chef Fabio.
