The Job Hunt: Monster Movie Actor, Airline Accounts Manager, Bartender, Research Manager

Who wants to spend their Beijing days locked up in a boring, dead-end job, with horrible colleagues you'd rather never see again? As our beloved reader, you should know that you don't have to submit yourself to such an unbearable life of sadness. Instead, take a look below at the best of our job classifieds.

Global Key Account Manager for Air China
If you're a foreigner who's found their way to Beijing, chances are you like to travel, and one of the best ways to do that is by working for a multinational corporation – especially if that corporation specializes in travel. Air China is one such option, and not a bad one at that. Their business is booming, and they need your help to make it booming-er. They're looking for Western European or North American account managers to build their overseas relationships. The right candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher, be a native English-speaker with proficiency in Mandarin, knowledge or experience with sales and marketing, and plans to remain in China for at least two years – coincidentally just the right number of years you'll need for an entry-level sales and marketing job back home.

Female Bartender Needed (No Experience Required)
Some of us are brought to China by our careers, and some just come to party. While I would advise those in the latter group to go to ... just about any other East Asian country if they really want to turn up, Beijing does host its fair share. For those looking to supplement their teaching salary with some part-time, party-time work in the evening, Club Sir Teen is looking for a "female, foreign bartender." Apparently, you need absolutely no credentials or experience for this job, beyond being taller than 171 cm – you know, so you can reach the top-shelf stuff, right?.

Senior Research Manager for China Policy
Sinophiles, it's go time: China Policy is seeking a full-time senior research manager to "supervise eight policy portfolios and interact with clients in government, media, multilateral agencies, and nonprofits." The position offers unrivalled insight into China’s policy trajectory as it manages domestic and global challenges. They're looking for someone with a proven track record of expertise in Chinese politics and current events, coupled with editorial writing skills. The senior research manager seems to have their hand in all aspects of the organization, from management to writing, to training, to maintaining relationships with sources and strategic advisory clients.

Actor Needed by Sci-Fi Movie "The Monster Shop"
I'm not sure what to make of this one, but I feel it's an opportunity best learned about on the fly. Is your time in China coming to a close? Are you between contracts? Do you want to play a part (literally) in what will likely be a very funny, very dumb new science-fiction film? I mean, it doesn't necessarily look bad, but it does seem like a "China-does-Gremlins" kind of joint. Directed by Yu Xiaohui (never heard of him or her), produced by Cai Yuexun (who could be the Taiwanese director of The Hospital, or could be a local we've never heard of), and starring NOT YET OPEN, this seems to be shaping up into the Chinese sci-fi horror B-movie of our generation and I, personally, would love to go along for the ride. Who's with me?
