UFC Fighter Alan Jouban Tours Beijing and Tianjin Ahead of UFC Fight Night Beijing

Professional UFC fighter Alan “Brahma” Jouban visited Beijing in early November ahead of UFC Fight Night Beijing on Saturday, Nov 24. A professional fighter since 2011, Jouban currently fights in the Welterweight division of the UFC. He is also a fashion model; he is the face of the Dylan Blue fragrance and has starred in other Versace campaigns alongside Gigi Hadid. In his spare time, Jouban is also a modified car enthusiast.

This was Jouban’s first official visit to China, where he toured both Beijing and Tianjin from Oct 31 to Nov 4. During his visit, he toured the Great Wall, met with a variety of local media, and hosted a gym seminar, as well as a UFC 230 viewing party with Chinese MMA fans. He was joined on the tour by his wife, Nicole Rangsita Jouban, and their six-year-old son.

Born and raised in Louisiana, USA, Jouban was a competitive soccer athlete through high school until he tore his ACL. Then in 2005, at the age of 23, he began training Muay Thai, finding quick success as an undefeated amateur before starting his impressive professional career. In his first professional fight against Kyle Griffin, he won in 15 seconds via knockout. Since then, he has had 10 more wins by KO and seven first-round finishes.

Alan Jouban not only went to the Great Wall in Mutianyu and Tianjin for sightseeing but also watched the live broadcast of UFC230 at Paddy O’Shea's. Nearly 50 UFC enthusiasts joined him at the bar. He shared his view about the heavyweight championship fight with fans and looked forward to UFC Fight Night Beijing. Sadly he won't be participating in the event on Nov 24, but he summed up his trip with excitement saying, "The fights are done, the trip is a wrap, the journey is complete! Time to head home and get back to training. Thank you China and UFC for the trip of a lifetime!”

UFC Fight Night Beijing, including a headline fight between Curtis Blaydes and Francis Ngannou, will go down at the Cadillac Center on Saturday, Nov 24. Doors open 4pm. Scan the QR code below to get your tickets (from RMB 280).
