Legowelt
Two and a half decades into his career, Dutch DJ and producer Legowelt (pictured at top) – an esteemed veteran who pioneered a sound that incorporates sounds as disparate as Chicago house, technofunk, EuroHorror, and everything in between – is still going strong. Jessie Granqvist
Rising Stockholm DJ Jessie Granqvist has cut her teeth at a number of offbeat venues, including meteor craters, opera venues, and of course, the occasional dingy warehouse. Those experiences have armed her with a unique skill set that she'll bring to bare at Zhao Dai. Read our recent interview with Granqvist to get a better idea of what's in store. Price TBD. 10pm. Roman
Born in the then Soviet-ruled Georgian capital of Tbilisi in 1983, Roman found his place among techno DJs in 2013 playing anything from heavy and dark industrial to gentle hypnotic soundscapes. For an idea of what to expect at his Lantern set on Friday, he cites Underworld, The Chemical Brothers, Depeche Mode, Fatboy Slim, and Moby as influences. RMB 80, RMB 50 (advance). 10.30pm. Daily Vinyl Presents D.K.
French electronic producer D.K. has released a steady stream of ambient tracks under well-regarded labels like Antidote, L.I.E.S, Music From Memory, and Melody As Truth in the past five years. Concept of Thrill
Born in the northern Polish town of Gdynia, Paweł Zawadzki performs under the alias of Concept of Thrill. In 2017 he released two original dancefloor-focused productions on Spanish label Kindcrime Recordings. From there, Concept of Thrill has forged ties with a variety of labels around the world, including Circular, Natch, Wats, and the esteemed Polish imprint called DRVMS Ltd. K.i.M.
Psytrance star K.i.M. is making his China debut on this new tour. His music is known for being vivid, innovative, and heavy as you'd hope for a psytrance producer. As the promoters put it: "Forget 3D, this is going to be 5D; the sounds will be seen!" RMB 80. 9pm. Dada
