Techies of All Gender Are Heading to Shanghai for the Ladies Who Tech Con, Jul 4
Now in its fourth year, the Ladies Who Tech Convention is once again bringing together STEM-passionate women (and like-minded allies, regardless of gender!) for discussions, panels, and interactive workshops that all center on promoting women’s careers in the fields of science, technology, and more, all on Sunday, Jul 4 in Shanghai. For any Beijingers in the industry or hoping to break in, it will be well worth the train trip!
This year’s con is forward-focused with the theme <Women+Digital=Future>. But as much discussion on why women must be essential to the future of tech, the role models will provide attendees with insights on how to thrive in their own journey through the tech world.
Panels for the day will include “Why Women+Digital=Future?,” a discussion on empowering women to rebuild the future after a tough year has significantly impacted them in the workplace, as well as an innovator and entrepreneur-focused panel on “Building a Sustainable and Green World Through Innovation and Tech.”
More than a dozen influential role models in the tech community will be at the convention – to name just a few: Tina Xu, vice president of AstraZeneca China; Qiuchen Wang, Academic Partnership Strategist of Scania China Innovation Center; Daphne Tuijn, China eCommerce and tech specialist as well as Founder and CEO of Chaoly; and Heidi Berg, CMO of Waste4Wear.
You can read more about the convention speakers here, here, here, and here.
Regular entrance fee is RMB 580, or just RMB 200 for students. Corporate team bonding packages (minimum 10) are available for RMB 480 per ticket. To register, scan the QR code in the panel below.

Re: Techies of All Gender Are Heading to Shanghai for the...
So now we gots `techies' `foodies' . Hows abouts `fartsies' ... People that like to fart regularly? I know this all started out with `hippies' Those cool cats what was hip. Hows abouts `partyies'.. Them that likes to party? Hows abouts `easyies' , them that likes to relax? And by the way what is wrong with the word `sex' , as in what sex are you? Male or female? Now you gotsa have a gender. This engenders an old fartsie like me with despair at the debasement of the English language. (But not too much despair)
