Beer Lovers Rejoice: 8x8 Brewing Project Returns, Double Up for Oct 15-16
Jing-A's celebration of collaborative brewing, known as the 8x8 Brewing Project, brings brewers and beer enthusiasts together each year to sip on beers that have never been tried before and may never be tried again.
What is 8x8? Well, in a typical year, sixteen breweries from around China and the world match up in pairs to collaborate on a beer that'll only be available exclusively at the fest. But 2021 is no ordinary year! Instead, they have 32 breweries paired up this year. They could have rebranded to 16x16, but seeing as how it doesn't quite roll off the tongue, they've kept the original name, calling it 8x8 Doubled Up.
In any case, that means there will be 16 wholly original beers to try, along with some classic styles from breweries you may not have tried before. You can find a full list of all the brews available at the fest here.
There are a total of four sessions, starting with one at 8pm-11pm on Oct 15, with following sessions all held on Oct 16, from Noon-3pm, 4pm-7pm, and 8pm-11pm. Tickets are still available for all sessions at the time of writing, but we've been informed that they are selling out quickly for sessions two and three, so snatch yours up quick before they're gone!
