24 Hour Test Results Required for Entering Some Businesses, Closures & More Across Capital
A few places of business across the capital -- including Shangdu SOHO, The Kerry Centre, Kempinski, Georgia's Feast and all Great Leap locations -- have started requiring those wishing to enter to provide 24 hour NAT results from today. Authoritative-looking texts are being circulated on WeChat saying that all of Chaoyang will be administering these rules, but thus far only a few businesses and locations have reported changes, so it's best to take it with a grain of salt for now.
In other news, Beijing Daily reports that a number closures and new regulations are popping up at venues around the capital, and not just due to Covid, but other measures like forest fire prevention.
Unsurprisingly, Yonghegong Lama Temple has been closed again as of Nov 10 until further notice (see announcement below in Chinese). Interestingly, a number of other religious sites, including North Cathedral, have also shut their doors for the time being as well.
Other closures include Beijing Department Store, Yanqi Lake Scenic Area, Pofengling Scenic Area, Qingnianhu Park, Liuyin Park, and Labagou Forest Park. The aforementioned Kempinski has also closed all of its outlets and private rooms, as of press time.
As for hospitals, the fever clinics at Beijing Anzhen, Peking University International Hospital, China-Japan Friendship Hospital have been closed. Outpatient services at Ditan, Dongcheng Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospitals, as well as nucleic acid testing and outpatient services at Chanping District Hospital, have been suspended.
Changping District Hospital’s physical examination center has also been closed. Madian Medical Examination Center has also been shut temporarily.
As for outliers, National Olympic Center has simply stated that all fitness activities within the park have been forbidden for the time being, and those wishing to enter the park must have a 24 hour NAT result.
Another outlier is Yaowang Gu Valley Scenic Area, which has been closed to the public for winter forest fire prevention.
