You Can't Keep a Good Pie Down: Cheesy Pizza Month Arrives Jan 6!

Despite the nightmare that December 2022 has been so far, there is light at the end of the tunnel: And that is the return of our annual orgy of all things pizza ... and this year we are calling it the Beijinger's Cheesy Pizza Month!

We originally planned to kick it off in early December, but everyone got Covid and the city nearly came apart at the seams with in-store dining banned and threats of us all being sent to some convention center field hospital.

However, the city finally came to its senses and all the crazy Covid restrictions were tossed, paving the way for us to put our plans back on track.

So what is Cheesy Pizza Month? First and foremost it’s our attempt to get you out to try some of the best pizzas the city has to offer via a month of discounts and incentives, and we’re scheduled to kick it off just after the new year on Friday, January 6.

Much like the recently completed Juicy Burger Month, you’ll be getting special offers (for consumption in store or via delivery) from a wide variety of pizza slingers around town, such as Gung Ho!, Great Leap, QMex, Pyro Pizza, Georgia’s Feast and Commune Reserve (just to name a few). Along the way you’ll be collecting stamps, each of which is good for an entry into lucky draw prizes such as -- you guessed it -- MORE pizza (and other wonderful goodies). 

Along the way your passion for pizza will be giving a shot in the arm to the restaurants we’ve come to love over the years and who have suffered greatly during the pandemic, particularly over Beijing's very own annus horribilis, 2022.

We’ll also be simultaneously (and belatedly) launching our annual poll of the Best Pizza in Beijing, the Cheesy Pizza Cup, which will determine Beijing’s best pizza of 2022 (yes, we're a bit late on the draw for 2022 ... but look on the bright side, we hearby reserve the right to do this all again later in 2023 when the weather’s warm enough for an outdoor pizza fest!)

And who knows, if we can find the right venue and get it all together in time, we may just be able to pull off a Final Four Taste-Off as we did for the past few Pizza Cups!

The promotion will carry you throughout January, through Chinese New Year and conclude in early February.
