Grills & Grooves: All the Entertainment at Sausage Fest!

Sausage Fest 2.0 is just over one week away, and this meat-filled extravaganza is not to be missed! The fest is happening at the FFC from Mar 28 to 30, and we'll soon have all the saucy details about the sumptuous sausages and hot dogs that will be available – but first, let's take a look at all the entertainment we've got in store.

From sausage-themed games (think flying sausages and high-stakes catching contests) to live music that will keep the vibes sizzling and kid-friendly activities so the little ones are entertained while you feast, this is going to be one banger of an event!

LTN x the Beijinger Night

To kick off the festival, the Beijinger is teaming up with LTN to bring you a Friday night you won't forget!

Founded in the summer of 2024, LTN (Latin Fire) was born with a clear mission: to deliver unforgettable Latin experiences through music, dance, and vibrant cultural events. Based in Beijing, they specialize in curating high-energy parties and dynamic performances that showcase the richness and diversity of Latin rhythms.

Their events are a fusion of traditional and contemporary Latin sounds, blending reggaeton, salsa, bachata, merengue, and Latin house with immersive experiences that keep the energy high all night long. They've become known for their electrifying parties, like the iconic Barrio Fino series, which have drawn massive crowds and created unforgettable memories.

At LTN, they go beyond just music; they bring people together. Their events feature talented DJs, captivating live performances, dance animations, and interactive experiences that connect audiences with the authentic spirit of Latin culture. Their purpose is simple: to spread the warmth, rhythm, and magic of Latin culture to the world, creating spaces where people from all backgrounds can connect, dance, and celebrate life.

Games

Toss the Sausage

This game involves teams of two with one teammate being the sausage tosser, launching those meaty projectiles into the sky, and the other teammate being given a bucket with the mission to catch that flying sausage. The first team to successfully land a sausage in the bucket wins! The Toss the Sausage game will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday at 3pm.

Catch the Sausage

If you rate your kitchen skills and think you know your way around a frying pan, then this game is for you! The aim of the game is this: Using a frying pan, you need to toss a sausage in the air and catch it back in the pan. Sounds pretty simple, right? But here's the catch (pun intended): With each successful attempt, another sausage will be added to the pan, and to win you need to be the first participant to successfully flip five sausages altogether! The Catch the Sausage competition will be taking place on Saturday and Sunday at 5pm.

Live Music

Desperate Prom Date

Hitting the stage on Saturday, Desperate Prom Date is a comedy-satire band consisting of useless individuals writing music in the hope of attracting somebody – anybody – to go with them to prom! Incorporating various eclectic musical tastes such as funk, hard rock, bluegrass and some good old-fashioned '90s cheese, they aim to cast their net far and wide to capture the hearts of literally anybody who'll listen. Will you be allured by any of their original melodies or unconventional lyrics as this odd bunch of misfits sings about life in the 'Jing as a bunch of know-nothing foreigners?

Voguish

Voguish will be performing on Sunday, and they are a band known for their soulful, soothing music which fuses jazz, soul, neo-soul, R & B, blues, pop, reggae-soul, Afro-soul, and soft rock. The band plays Chinese hit songs from famous Chinese artists as well as famous and great cover songs from all over the world, always leaving its audience in awe. Besides this, Voguish also performs its own original music, making its performances unique and rich, giving fans an experience they can’t find anywhere else.

The band performs in different languages, including English, French, Spanish, Shona, Zulu, Swahili, and many more, making their performances super diverse. Vougish has appeared at a number of big events, including the Beijing International Film Festival, CCTV shows and the National Centre for Performing Arts. They’ve also been the resident band at various international 5-star hotels, such as the Hyatt Hotel, and have also played at music venues across Beijing, China and abroad.

The Beijing Chillo Pampers

The Beijing Chillo Pampers, aka BJCP, is a fiery tribute band consisting of four international musicians hailing from across the globe and united under one mission: channeling the raw energy and funk-rock soul of the Red Hot Chili Peppers to keep you jumping all night long.

DMC RK

DMC RK began learning the erhu when he was 5, bringing a special quality and style to his music. While he was studying in the US, he regularly did DJ sets at parties, and then following his return to China began performing as DMC RK in various places around Beijing. His music style is tropical house, hip-hop and funky soul, and he loves to build up emotion in his sets to get the audience pumping.
