Step Into Spring With These New Spring Menus
Spring is here in the capital and along with enjoying the beautiful blossoms, you can also embrace spring with fresh flavors from a number of Beijing eateries that have recently launched spring menus.
La Copa
Cozy tapas restaurant La Copa, located in JinShang Yuan, has proven to be a popular spot since opening up at the end of last year. They’ve recently had their first menu update, adding a range of tantalizing new spring dishes. New additions include some fresh seafood offerings like Scallop Carpaccio (RMB 198) and Squid-Ink Fideua Pasta (RMB 198) as well as meaty dishes like WAGYU Osobuco (RMB 228) and lighter dishes such as the Beetroot Salad (RMB 78). COMMUNE
There are new spring dishes and drinks now available at all three of COMMUNE’s Beijing locations. As big burger and pizza fans here at the Beijinger, we’re particularly excited about the new Wagyu Cheese Burger (RMB 88), Basil Sausage Pizza (RMB 128) and Pepperoni Pizza (RMB 108). In the drinks department there is the Stout Coffee Martini (RMB 68), which features stout beer instead of coffee liqueur and the Margaret (RMB 68) – a fruity twist on the classic margarita. Zarah
Zarah will be doing a special “Hello Spring Brunch” on Apr 14 to mark the arrival of spring. For this themed buffet brunch along with their usual selection of cheeses, cold cuts, breads etc. they’re adding dishes like Fresh Spring Rolls, Rainbow Veggie Tortilla Roll-Ups and Salmon and Radish Bruschetta with Spring Chives. As usual, the brunch is RMB 228 for all you can eat and RMB 388 for all you can eat plus three hours of free flow.

MULU
Another spot doing spring brunch is hutong gem MULU, who recently launched their “All-You-Can-Eat Spring Hutong Weekend Brunch”, which is available until May 19. Specializing in Nanyang-French cuisine, MULU’s new brunch menu has delicious offerings like Crispy Bánh Khot, Grandma Yan's Mee Siam and Jay Fay Inspired Crab Omelette (pictured in lead image).

Nuo Hotel
The Nuo Hotel have a number of new spring dishes available at their restaurants. First up they’ve partnered with Grand Kempinski Hotel Shanghai to bring new dishes to Jia Chinese Restaurant like Braised Spring Bamboo Shoots and Sweet and Sour Pork Ribs. The Local
The Local has recently debuted their new lunch set menus for spring. Starting at RMB 68, the sets include your choice of a main, a cup of coffee or soft drink, and fries or a seasonal fruit salad. Mains include healthy options like Grilled Chicken and Kale Salad (RMB 78) to more indulgent dishes such as Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles (RMB 68).
