All the Bun-Believable Entertainment at Juicy Burger Fest 2024
Juicy Burger Fest is less than one week away! We’ve already taken a look at some of the vendors who will be joining us (stay tuned for part two coming soon) and now we’re going to turn our attention to the awesome entertainment we’ve got lined up. From an epic Dragon Show to the return of our Best Buns competition, live music, dancing and DJs this may just be our best Juicy Burger Fest yet!
Beijinger & 3X3 By the Roof
Kicking off Juicy Burger Fest each day and closing out the fest on Saturday and Monday will be a special Beijinger and 3x3 By the Roof collab with some of the top DJs from 3x3 By the Roof showing their stuff!
DJ Marshall
DJ Marshall has been spinning disks for more than ten years and plays a variety of musical styles for a collision of genres with distinct rhythms and melodies. He specializes in jazz hop, drum & bass, trap, house funk, disco and afrohouse.
DJ The Zen 禪
DJ The Zen 禪 is your neighbourhood groovy, funky, house music artist from Yerevan, setting dance floors alight with infectious beats and soulful vibes. Spinning house and minimal beats with maximum impact from underground clubs to bars and festivals, you'd best come prepared for a sonic journey like no other. Get ready to groove with DJ The Zen 禪.
Furry Show
This Juicy Burger Fest is completely pet friendly and if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend to the fest and think they’re the cutest pet around or have some hidden talents, then the Furry Show is the chance for you to let them strut their stuff! Take to the stage with your best furry pal and show the judges just what they can do. The Furry Show will take place every day of the fest at 3pm.
Best Buns
We’ll be bringing back the Best Buns twerk-off once again! If you think you’ve got what it takes to shake shake shake your booty then get yourself on stage and show off your bun-believeable moves in order to win some great prizes. The Best Buns competition will take place every day of the fest at 5pm.
Dragon Show
In honor of the dragon theme at this year’s Juicy Burger Fest there will be a spectacular Dragon Show performed by the Beijing Red Ruixiang Dragon and Lion Dance Troupe. The group was established way back in 2009 and have performed thousands of times over the years. Prepare to be mesmerized by a wild ride of vibrant colors, epic dance moves and kickass coordination that you definitely don’t want to miss! The Dragon Show will take place every day of the fest at 7pm.
Live Music
Afro Gents
AFRO-GENTS are a band of diverse style, talent and cultural background that will bring an Afro-fusion vibe to the stage. The Gents play multitude of musical genres including Jazz, R&B, Neo soul, Blues, Reggae and Afro-beats with the latter being its main genre. Afro-fusion is a genre that merges other styles of music such as R&B, reggae and hip-hop with traditional Afro-beats.
Desperate Prom Date
Suit? Check. Flowers? Check. Condom in pocket? Check. Rose petals set in the back seat of your mom's 1995 Toyota Corolla? Check. Now there's only one thing left to sort out. Desperate Prom Date are a comedy-satire band consisting of useless individuals writing music in the hope of attracting somebody, anybody, to go with them to prom! Incorporating various eclectic musical tastes such as funk, hard rock, bluegrass and some good old-fashioned '90’s cheese, they aim to cast their net far and wide to capture the hearts of literally anybody who'll listen. Will you be allured by any of their original melodies or unconventional lyrics as this odd bunch of misfits sing about life in the 'Jing as a bunch of know-nothing foreigners?
Knobs & Switches
Inspired by the golden age of rock and soul music and with the retro sounds mashed with electronic elements and creative ideas of young minds, let yourself be immersed in these classic sounds from Knobs & Switches.
ME 3P OH
ME 3P OH are a three-piece plug and play punk band who perform original and creative melodies. They’re influenced by old school Oi!, grunge and punk. Their tunes are catchy, melodic and, most importantly, self-aware.
Nurse Don't Die
Made up of two pairs of brothers, Nurse Don’t Die is truly a beautiful culmination of talent, skill, good looks, and pure awesomeness. Specializing in fast and energetic music, Simon, Griffin, Josiah, and Maddox are ready to rock a million faces at Juicy Burger Fest!
Permission Slips
The Permission Slips are a band of parents inspired by the youthful vigor and musical talent of their school-aged children, and couldn’t resist the pull of attempting to relive their youth by forming a band. Together since last fall, the band consists of musicians of various levels, from rank amateurs to those possessing a degree in music, and everything in between. Together they hope to emulate the fearless pursuit of new experiences that characterize their offspring.
Black Crocodile
Black Crocodile is a jazz rock band formed in 2023 by six 9- and 10-year-old boys from the British School of Beijing (BSB). The members include lead singer Austin Han, keyboardist Ian Ding, guitarist Tony Fu, guitarist Andy Zhou, bassist Alan Fu, and drummer Preston Hu. If you like the band New Pants from the New Wave period, then you don’t want to miss Black Crocodile! With their high energy tunes they’ll be bringing a breath of fresh air to the stage.
D'Jack
Often referred to as one of the best DJs in Beijing, Romuald Tchinda, aka D'Jack, has made his mark in the music scene by creating his own unique style of mixing tunes from hip-hop to house, electro rap to reggaeton and much more. What started as a hobby at the age of 17 has been moulded into a fulltime career with stopovers in Paris, Dubai, and Asia.
Upon his arrival in Beijing, where he has been residing since 2006, D’Jack singlehandedly transformed Salsa Caribe, a large nightclub in Beijing’s most popular district, into the best place for dancing in the whole city. There he was not only the resident DJ but also managed the club’s PR and entertainment. Praised for his hard working and stylish approach, D’Jack can be found today DJing at some of Beijing’s most popular venues, outdoor events and music festivals.
Dancing
High Dance Energy
Bringing some High Dance Energy to the stage will be Ugin, a dance-fitness instructor from Europe with 15 years of experience in the field. Specializing in hip-hop and zumba, if his face (or killer abs) looks familiar to you that might be because he’s also a social media blogger with 260k followers and over 100 million views on his social media channel.
Jindafit Afrobeats Workout
JINDAFIT® is a full a full-body Afro-beats dance workout based on African moves and rhythms. It is a new, simple, and uniquely fun workout, suitable for all fitness levels and all ages. The up-tempo African rhythms will let you enjoy the moment and let go of any worries.
The session will be led by founder and creator D’Jack – you might recognize him from our live music roundup earlier, clearly he’s a man with many talents – who, along with being an expert DJ, is also a certified Physical Training Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry.

Kids Corner
Jingkids will be partnering up with Ms Jennifer Studio to create a special Kids Corner where there will be a range of arts and craft activities to keep your little ones entertained while parents can relax and fully immerse themselves in the festivities. Remember, kids 1.4m and below are free before 2pm every day (full price after 2pm). Kids under 1.2m get in for free all day long.
Pet Zone
As well as a dedicated kids area, at this fest we'll also have a designated Pet Zone where you can take your furry friends for some fun, games and socializing. They'll also have pet snacks available and plenty of water because it's important to keep those pets hydrated in the heat! If you don't have a pet but are interested in getting one there will be information here about pet adoption too.
Vendor Activities
Along with all the above entertainment, many of our vendors at the fest will be doing some interactive activities with great prizes up for grabs!
Side Street
Side Street will have a darts board at the fest with prizes in store. Each person has three darts, if you get all three darts on the same number then you win a free burger, get two darts on the same number and you get an RMB 20 coupon! They’ll also have a Bingo Bonanza where each person can draw three times for the chance to win good stuff!
Circle Urban
Circle Urban will be bringing back their super popular corn hole competition which you might remember from Taco Fest. This time around players can battle it out to win themselves some free food!
BA Burger
BA Burger will have a special Juicy Burger Fest check in point where if you take a photo there, you can win some great prizes!
Tough Tongue
Tough Tongue will be bringing back their Hard to Get Drunk challenge, where if you finish a beer within eight seconds you win a free cup or can of beer, finish within six seconds and you get two free cans or cups of beer.
Nashville
Nashville have a burger eating challenge where if you finish their massive Nashville Hell Burger – it’s ten inches wide and has a patty weighing 1kg – in 30 minutes then it’s completely free! They’ll also be giving out a free chocolate lipstick dessert to any customers who spend over RMB 100.
Carbon
Carbon will be doing a Mini Pong game which works similarly to beer pong except you don’t have to down any drinks! Instead there will be three cups filled with water and competitors have to try and get their ping pong balls into the cups. If you get the ball in one cup you get a small gift, e.g. a keychain, if you get the ball in two cups you get a second small gift like a tote bag or fan and if you get the ball in all three cups you get an RMB 100 coupon!
CAMP4
CAMP4 will have a burger eating competition where if you can finish one of their burgers within 90 seconds then you get a free burger and two free beers!
Mustard Canteen Bistro
Mustard Canteen Bistro are keeping things simple with their game: if you can finish one of their beers in 20 seconds then it’s free!
Unicorn Shark
Unicorn Shark will be doing a selfie competition where if you buy any of their Unicorn Shark craft beers then take one to three selfies with it at the fest you will win a designer coaster.
Slowboat
Each day of the featival, Slowboat will hold two instalments of a beer drinking competition. Six participants will compete to drink a 1L stein of Drink Like a Fish Pilsner through a long straw. The first to finish is the winner!
Famous
Famous will be bringing a wheel of fortune to the fest, give it a spin and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.
Overtone Taproom
Overtone Taproom will have a Discgolf Putting Challenge at the fest. Competitors pay RMB 20 for five discs and have to try and get them in the basket, if you get all five in you get a free beer, get three in and you get a RMB 10 coupon.
Burges
Burges will be doing a Burger Eating Challenge each day of the festival, where competitors will compete to finish a burger the quickest – you may remember that they did a similar hot dog eating contest at Sausage Fest.
FunYoung
FunYoung will be giving out some prizes for those who can finish a beer in a certain time frame. Rewards include things like a mini burger or a bottle of their Night’s Watch North Old Ale.
Jing-A
Jing-A will be bringing a beanbag game to the fest. In order to play, you can either follow Jing-A on RED or Douyin to get two chances to toss a beanbag or, if you make any purchase from Jing-A, you get three chances to toss a beanbag. Prizes up for grabs are Jing-A merch, discount coupons and free beer.
Tsingdao
Tsingdao will be bringing back their bottom up challenge where if you finish a 500ml beer within eight seconds you win a free beer, if you finish within six seconds you win two free beers!
Lipton
Lipton will also be bringing corn hole to the fest, if you manage to throw a beanbag in the hole then you can win a Lipton summer folding fan.
