New Pakistani Restaurant CULTURE Opens in Salitun SOHO
Sanlitun SOHO recently got a new resident in the form of Pakistani restaurant CULTURE. From the same team behind restaurant and bar Puff & Chill, at CULTURE, they specialize in bringing the rich flavors and traditions of Pakistan's culinary delights to Beijing. They have everything from kebabs to biryanis, curries and sweets, all created with authentic spices and fresh ingredients.

Vegan Bistro Duli's First Beijing Branch Now in Soft Opening
You might already be familiar with Duli, a Shanghai-based vegan bistro, from a few of the pop-ups they've done in Beijing, such as one at Ori Sake & Food back in 2023. Well, now they've opened their first Beijing branch and are officially in soft opening as of last Friday (Apr 18). Located one street down from Side Street Jianguomen and Nola, just south of Ritan Park, they'll be serving up a range of their signature dishes like Mapo Tofu Hummus, Corn and Cauliflower Fritter With Bao (pictured below) and Tom Yum Wanton Soup.
To celebrate their soft opening, they've currently got some soft opening gifts up for grabs! From Apr 21 to 27, get a free full-size Banila Co Cleansing Balm (RMB 228 value) with the purchase of any bottle of wine, and from Apr 28 to May 8, get a free full-size MLB Body Lotion with the purchase of any bottle of wine. a BAR of crayon Opens in Taikooli
Another new spot that opened up last Friday (Apr 18) was a BAR of crayon, celebrating with a special guest shift by Simone Caporale, award-winning bartender and owner of the world’s #1 bar, SIPS. a BAR of crayon is a new cocktail bar created by former Union bar manager Harry Hua and his team, in collaboration with bar Long Fong.
a BAR of crayon's cocktail menu will carry on the Union team’s modern cocktail style, while also expanding on Long Fong's use of lesser known Chinese ingredients. The first edition of the menu draws inspiration from Hua's hometown, Hebei, and the full May menu will be officially launched soon.

Larry the Bird Pop Up at Great Leap Lido This Saturday
If you've been mourning the loss of chicken shop Larry the Bird, then we've got some great news for you! They will be doing a special collaboration this Saturday (Apr 26) with Great Leap for their Lido branch's Terrace Opening Party. Kicking off at noon, there will be a range of Larry the Bird's most iconic dishes available – think Larry Classic Fried Chicken Sandwich (RMB 50), Boneless Fried Chicken (RMB 58), Fried Chicken Parmesan Sandwich (RMB 60) and more. To wash it all down, there will be Great Leap's excellent array of craft brews on tap. There will also be a pop-a-shot game and a live DJ to keep the vibe pumping.

Taco Fest Returns to Beijing May 3-4
In case you've missed it, our Taco Fest will be returning to the capital from May 3 to 4 at the National Tennis Center West Square by the west side of the Olympic Forest Park. We're going to have 20+ of Beijing's best taco purveyors serving up everything from classic fillings like carnitas or Baja fish to fusion flavor combinations or exclusive creations just for the fest. Keep your eyes peeled for more Taco Fest news coming soon, including a lineup of all the amazing entertainment that will be at the fest as well as a look at all the spectacular vendors!
Taco Fest will be taking place at the National Tennis Center West Square on May 3-4 from 11am to 8pm. Early bird tickets are RMB 20, and tickets at the door are RMB 30. You can purchase tickets by scanning the QR code in the poster above.
