Beijing Postcards is a small, history-focused company in Beijing. They conduct archival research and oral history projects in order to create original walks, talks, events, and historical souvenirs.
About the gallery store:
Beijing Postcards is located in the Dashilar neighborhood of Beijing, an old melting pot where migrants used to settle. They use the space to organize community events, showcase their latest research and oral history projects, and host public walk-and-talks every Saturday starting from their space. They also utilize their own collection of maps and photos to create unique souvenirs related to their research projects, such as framed Beijing map prints and photographs, cushions, tote bags, jigsaws, and more.
About events:
Beijing Postcards uses the cityscape of Beijing to explore Chinese thought and ideas. All of their events are themed and they aim to make them challenging, interesting, and fun. Their goal is to take you off the beaten path, in every sense, and to use their research to help you view and engage with Beijing in new ways.
