More than 1,189 foreign students enrolled in the university in 2005 to study Chinese in addition to Acupuncture, Moxibustion, Chinese Pharmaceutical Processing, Public Health Management and other disciplines. English undergraduate degree programs last as long as five years, require HSK level 6 and cost RMB 45,000 per year. The program in Chinese costs considerably less, at RMB 35,000. Other short training programs last from one week to two months, require no Chinese ability (courses are taught in English or a translator is provided) and can cost as much as RMB 8,500 per month (RMB 6,800 in Chinese).
