This small, comfortable venue features a limited menu of zhajiangmian (thick noodles smothered with fermented soybean paste), lurou fan (Taiwanese pork rice), and traditional deserts: all drawn from the imagination of owner Zhang Peichun. Ju'er Renjia has also drawn high praise on Dianping and even food critics like Zhao Ziyun have commended the modest restaurant on TV. Frozen double-layer milk custard (a scoop of vanilla ice cream atop a wobbly serving of the white stuff ) and Guiling jelly with red bean are standout dishes.
