Singaporean celebrity chef Justin Quek quietly opened an elegant restaurant in Beijing's CBD. Despite Quek's renown in Singapore, (he has served Microsoft founder Bill Gates, former Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, and former Chinese president Jiang Zemin, among others) his Beijing venture was not publicized very much even a year after its opening. That's a shame, because this hidden gem has a white linen fine dining restaurant in its back room with elegant dishes like foie gras xiao long bao, while the front is a more casual Singaporean canteen.
