Owned by a Finnish businessman, My Life takes up the challenge of making a bar work in a CBD location. On a quiet night, the heavily white space looks rather forlorn and sterile. However, picture the bar even half
full, and you can see the design’s “woodland” touches – streams of running water and leaves draped overhead – coming alive.
My Life is suitable for an after-work crowd, with decent service, competently mixed drinks and import beers like Asahi and Corona which are cheaper than the local brews. For something more distinctive, try the handful of Finnish drinks, including the sickly-sweet mint liqueur Kiinaviina.
