Located on B1 in Topwin Center, Pasta & Piadina provides piadina "non-fermented pancakes" from Romagna. Early in 1200BC, it has been produced with the recipe written by Etrurians and handed down by Romans. In the Middle Age and Renaissance period, Romagna local pancakes have been enjoyed by people extensively. After Etruria (an ancient country in mid-west Italy) was conquered by Rome, many recipes were involved in the traditional cate of Romans, including the local pancakes. It is a simple but cheap food which is also delicious. In ancient times, Romagna local pancakes were originally used to satisfy people’s hunger or as a substitute of bread. They have to be eaten in a short time, otherwise they may get very hard and not be suitable for cooking after a few hours. The local pancake has been existed in the Middle Age. Since the bread and wheat tax had to be paid to the lord, bread was consumed less and less until it was replaced by other tax-free local pancakes which were made of grain and flour. This Italian restaurant offers family-style dishes, such as salads and pastas, other than piadina.
