The Roots 香海西厨

French guy Antoine（小安）and his wife landed in yizhuang and opened The Roots which serves Mediterranean family cuisines. The ingredients are from local market and also from their rooftop garden. Smoked Salmon Salad (48 RMB), Beef Bourguignon (48 RMB), the wooden plate and Le Creuset pan cost him a lot, because this is how it used to be served on his Grandma's table. And the secret of it is to use ribeye with ligaments and fat instead of pricey lean filet meat. For the spicy lovers, Penne with Sausage and Broccoli (48 RMB) is also a nice choice, it came from his Italian grandpa’s recipe. For the sweet teeth, British Banoffee Pie (35 RMB) is a must try.
