Xi He Ya Ju 羲和雅居

This pleasant all-time favorite among the expat crowd is nestled in the green northeast corner of Ritan Park, near the embassy district. The food and service at Xihe Yaju has been consistently good. Their most outstanding dishes are: beef coated in sesame seeds (zhima niurou), beef strips with French beans (ganbian niurou), sweet and sour shrimp (tangccu xiaqiu), lamb cubes with cumin (ziran yangrou), and lemon chicken (ningmeng ji). The little outdoor courtyard is most coveted for alfresco dining when the weather is nice, make early reservation for an outdoor dining.
