Beijing Beats brings you the best in Beijing nightlife each weekend so that you can soothe the woes of a long and stressful week with some out-of-body gyrating and some experiences you'd rather forget come Monday. Check the weekend's full list of nightlife events here.

This weekend's most promising parties features a Fatboy Slim cohort, the return of an old Courtyard 4 favorite, and a DJ who's been hailed "techno's next superstar." It's an eclectic array for ya'll to dig into, so read on for more to find which venue's DJ will best soundtrack your Friday and Saturday good times. There's also a somewhat unique Tuesday night rap show if you're working the weekend and need a pick me up before hump day.
 

Friday, Dec 15

Salsa Caribe Is Back
This Courtyard 4 veteran caused a bit of a stir when it suddenly closed a few months back, but its staff recently announced its return. D'Jack will be on decks, and a live Latin band will also be on hand to get the crowd moving. Best of all: there's an open bar! RMB 50. 9pm-late. Salsa Caribe

Lithuanian Dance Party
From DJ and producer SHN, to vinyl enthusiast and local talent booster Mantas T, several highly regarded Lithuanian dancefloor vets will be on hand for this unique party. RMB 80, RMB 50 (advance). 10pm. Lantern

Timmy Trumpet
Fatboy Slim, Armin Van Burren, and Carl Cox are among the stars that this Australian DJ and Youtube sensation has shared the stage with. He's known for his house, psytrance, hardstyle, and Melbourne Bounce deep cuts. RMB 180. 10pm. Sir Teen

Louisahhh
Rising New York DJ Louisahhh has graced the cover of DJ Mag UK and served as a BBC Radio 1 resident DJ. She has also worked with French producer Maelstrom and Dave Clarke on his hotly anticipated album The Desecration of Desire, along with readying her own debut album, which will be out in 2018. All that and more has lead the folks at Dada to call her "techno's next superstar." RMB 80. 10pm. Dada
 

Saturday, Dec 16

Lo Shea and Agata
DJ Mag named Lo Shea the “Best Resident DJ” in its 2017 British poll. He's also popular here in Beijing, with local talents Youga, Weng Weng, Hu Yang opening for him in the main room. The bar room, meanwhile, will host Vietnam-based French female selector/DJ Agata. RMB 80, RMB 50 (advance). 10pm. Lantern  

Pixelord (also pictured at top) and Saburov
These Moscow DJs are returning to Beijing after a successful set a while back. The promoters credit them with having "gorgeous, layered sounds – bass music splattered with bright neon colors – going from sinister grime to bubblegum joy synth sounds." RMB 60. 10pm. Dada

DJs Darcy and Boris Background
InfraRouge are hosting these talented DJs for an elegant night of spritzes in their darkly-lit, minimalistic upstairs bar. Their Saturday residency has already begun to attract the fancier Beijing crowd. Free. 10pm. InfraRouge

家-Rule and Tru$T Fun Present Jammerz - Official Comedy Club China After Party
Comedian will crack wise, and then DJ's will hit the decks with retro rap hits for an afterparty that will transport you back to your club days of yore. Free. 10.30pm. 8-Bit

Bodmon Night
Yue Space is putting on a hip-hop night that will feature rising Beijing rappers like Saber, Malasung, James Forist, Zu and Naughty Boys, along with DJ Ritsunami. RMB 160, RMB 120 (advance). 7.30pm. Yue Space
