Add One More Layer to Your Quarantine Arsenal With a Coronavirus Tee

A note from the founder of True Run Media, the parent company of The Beijinger: When we launched this t-shirt idea, we did it in the spirit of encouraging everyone to mellow out at home and respect the quarantine (vs going out partying). We also did this with the intention of assisting on our mission of keeping people sane in a time of personal stress. However, since its launch we've had several readers contact us to say they felt this was inappropriate and tasteless during a time of crisis. After processing this reaction, we’ve decided to suspend these products out of respect to those who feel offended. We will revisit this at a later date, after considering how to make our intentions clearer. -- Michael Wester, Founder

The first quarter of 2020 has been a strange time indeed. Our year has so far been defined by quarantines, flight delays, mask shortages, endless movies and TV shows, the threat of scurvy from all the fangbianmian and waimai, and more time with our housemates than we could have ever wanted (or wished for).

But while we keep those battling on the frontlines of the virus in our thoughts, we can also use this time for a little reflection, appreciating what is most important to us and mulling over what comes next. It's only natural then that we'd want to commemorate this time with some kind of memento, perhaps a T-shirt, or say, a mug. Well, Beijingers, you're in luck!

We too have been doing plenty of soul-searching (and designing) and we've come up with some pretty sweet pieces of merchandise that you can brandish and proudly say, "We lived through this together, quarantined responsibly, and we survived!"

Browse and buy via our online store (or click on the images below).

All T-shirts are a very reasonable RMB 79, or RMB 39 for a mug (each including shipping). Not only that, if you bring along your merch to any of our upcoming festivals this year (yeah, be that guy with a mug) you'll automatically get free entry! Let's take a look...

See you on the other side of quarantine, Beijing! Until then, stay safe and remember to wash your hands!
