Established in Beijing in 2002, Chinablue is a gallery committed to nurturing and promoting Chinese contemporary art on the international art scene.
Chinablue has an exhibition space covering two floors and over 800m2 near the financial centre of Beijing. The top floor is used for regular exhibitions, while the bottom floor is a multi-purpose space for special events, offices, and academic seminars. It also houses a permanent installation designed by Zhong Song, one of the gallery’s represented artists.
Chinablue prides itself in representing a wide range of contemporary Chinese artists, each with their own distinctive style. Its 16 artists include well established artists who rose to prominence in the 80s and 90s as well as young up-and-coming artists from all over China. Among other media, their works include installations, sculptures, photographs and oil paintings. Once a highly influential gallery, China Blue still hosts interesting shows, albeit infrequently.
