Talking Tunes: A Devil Departs

Did you manage to get along to Pet Shop Boys, Japandroids or Pitbull? We got along to the first two and had a blast, but we were, erm ... too busy for Pitbull last night. After that doozie of a week, the landscape is a tiny bit less exciting this week, but there's still plenty going on.

For starters, neither The Killers show nor the Suede show have been pulled yet. Still early days, I know (they're not until October 1 and 5, respectively), but if you have any designs on getting along to these gigs without shelling upwards of RMB 500 for a ticket, it may be worth making that investment sooner rather than later. Inevitably, the cheaper tickets get snapped up first. Get along here and here to snatch up the cheap seats.

Devils at the Crossroad play their last show in their current makeup this weekend. Their last show as a trio will be at Temple on Saturday night (Aug 31) before they bid adieu to lead singer Joris. They plan to let the pits of fire roar and the heavens tremble, as they mark the end of an era with the thunderous sounds of rock 'n' roll! Sounds exciting.

Randy Abel Stable are releasing their debut record this weekend with an official launch party at Jianghu Bar on Saturday (Aug 31). You've still got the chance to win the album for free (click here for details), alternatively you could pay the RMB 80 and get into what's bound to be a blast of a show, too.

Check our events section for details of more upcoming music shows.
