You’ve seen the results of our 2011 Reader Restaurant Awards – now let’s take a closer look at the winners. In each of this series of posts, we’ll cover the winners in a group of categories, with comments from theBeijinger.com’s User Reviews flagged up to indicate just why readers like them, and links to each venue’s Directory listing on our website.

In our next list we're finishing up with the categories for Japanese, famed for fresh sushi and sizzling teppanyaki; Indian and Pakistani, with its rich curries and smoky tandoori; and Vegetarian, for healthy, flavorsome dishes.

Japanese

Best: Hatsune "Consistency, quality, and service are normally the hallmarks of a successful business and with Hatsune it's no different"
Outstanding: Tairyo Teppanyaki "I love the "all you can order" concept much more than a buffet and this one is worth it! you have sashimi, steak, rolls, veggies and anything else your heart desires"
Outstanding: Matsuko "I love their rolls and their desserts!!!"

Indian/Pakistani

Best: Ganges "The food was very good with the highest praises going to the butter chicken and the paneer pasanda"
Outstanding: Taj Pavilion "I ask for the food to be prepared a in a particular manner – let’s say spicy for arguments sake - they take it seriously. I’ve never been disappointed"
Outstanding: Mughal’s "I don’t think I have ever eaten a curry naan combination that tasted so good"

Vegetarian

Best: Pure Lotus "This place is simply great, relaxing. Low lights, soft music, spa scents, healthy drinks and delicious food, sometimes served in a mystic way"
Outstanding: Element Fresh "The food is lovely here, the veggies are fresh, and the ambience is suitable for chatting and relaxing"
Outstanding: Lily Vegetarian "great place to enjoy vegetarian cuisine, sip imported organic coffees and herbal teas, or just hang out"
