EAT: JBM's Cold Weather Juice Cleanse, New Dishes at Más
Juice cleansing is a good way to kickstart a new diet, or just integrate as part of a healthy regime, but unfortunately now the weather is colder we don't feel much like existing on only cold juice all day. Just in time, Juice by Melissa have introduced their new "Comfort Cleanse." The cleanse is priced at RMB 250 per day, including four 325ml juices and two 325ml soups. I was a big fan of the fragrant and slightly sour tomato soup with coconut and basil.
If you'd rather get your calories in a more traditional way, make sure to head over to Más to try their new menu items – beer-battered fish and chips with homemade tartare sauce, jerk chicken tacos, and a pretty tasty looking rice bowl with sour cream, avocado, and other south-of-the-border-inspired toppings. Head by on Wednesday (aka tomorrow) and get 30 percent off the entire food menu.
Friday and Saturday night see a foodie-centric market of epic proportions take over Sanlitun Soho during the Woodstock of Eating Night Bazaar. Food vendors include Traitor Zhou's, White Tiger Village, Two Guys and a Pie, Sweet Tooth, and many, many more (supposedly 30). Tickets are RMB 50, which includes entry to the after-party at Migas.
Finally, with Thanksgiving just around the corner, whether you're looking for somewhere to dine out or an option to take home and eat in, don't forget to keep an eye on our Thanksgiving events listings – to date we have more than 40 events.
