We went to the Village location for brunch today and found it really good value for money. My friend had the huge (and I mean, the biggest plate for one person I've ever seen!) breakfast including coffee for RMB49, and I had the vegetarian toast, complete with thick juicy slices of aubergine and plenty of pesto for RMB37. The portions were large, filling and tasted good, though maybe needed a touch more salt. Coffee was good.
The service wasn't bad either - both meals arrived at approximately the same time (doesn't sound like much but it's a big deal here). We had to ask for both salt and butter for toast but it arrived instantly. Though it doesn't matter in terms of the food I don't agree with the previous reviewer that the staff are smart - they were wearing baggy torn jeans and stained t-shirts. The restaurant itself is simple and attractive, with fresh flowers on the tables.
