In comparison, KFC and McDonald's are gourmet

come on people. the oft-discussed salad bar deal is a rip off (i still don't understand the appeal of a bowl of wilted iceberg lettuce, semi-thawed frozen peas and canned pineapple chunks ladled with a dollop of artery-clogging thousand island dressing) and the pizzas are thoroughly unremarkable. There was a day in Beijing where a visit to such an establishment may have been necessary only because of western food withdrawal, but there's really no reason for anyone to dine in this establishment anymore.
