If you're not into spicy food, stay away. Just don't bother. If you're into spicy food, try it - and be prepared for one of the hottest meals you'll have in Beijing.
This Korean restaurant's trademark dish is its pieces of chicken, cooked in a rich, Korean (ie. red) sauce on a sizzling plate.
Guaranteed, after the first mouthful you'll start hiccoughing uncontrollably. Your face will turn purple, and you'll order every drink on the menu trying to find one that cools you down. None will. Once you settle, though, you'll enjoy the spiciness, soft pieces of chicken and the other good dishes on the menu. There's a fun, American diner-style atmosphere, and the restaurant's popularity with Koreans tells you it's an authentic Korean spot. That is, if the spice hadn't already revealed that fact.
There are plenty of Korean BBQ and bibimbap restaurants in Beijing. Red Station is a one-off.
