We went on a slow day when there were not too many customers but still received very bad service so I can imagine how it must be when its full. The food is ok, nothing great but when I am paying so much for not so great food, I can atleast expect the service to be good. After we were seated and order placed, the waitress did not even serve us water as would be expected of any good Indian restaurant and it was a hot day. Its our culture and it is for the owners or the trainers to teach these common things to the staff.

The staff was not at all attentive and we had to ask for every little thing before it arrived. I feel it should be common knowledge in an Indian restaurant that bread and rice are not eaten at the same time so what's the point in serving it together so that by the time you finish eating bread, your daal and rice are stone cold? I never thought that Ganges was the best Indian restaurant in Beijing but it was still ok but this time you really dissapointed guys. No atmosphere, no service. I am never going there again except when I can't find any other place open.

Possibly the owners are too busy counting money to care how the service is or probably its too much for them to handle so many restaurants. Hire some good staff guys or atleast train them. I think more than the staff it reflects what sort of traing they have received from the owners or trainers. The only thing that arrived promptly and prompted a smile on the otherwise surly staff was the bill.
