Hey, the price/quality ratio on the Whopper puts in in a league of its own. It's got the price profile of McDonald's with much higher quality and taste. Sure you can get a better burger for RMB 60 and up in some spots in Beijing these days, but somehow spending that much on a burger seems a bit of a waste. It's not filet mignon here folks. The reason I think BK beats McDonalds is the inclusion of lettuce and tomato -- Mickey D's stocks nothing that can't be preserved, frozen or canned. The discipline of having to worry about fresh veggies instills a work ethic that carries over to the whole package.
correction: i've just been informed mcd's has fresh veggies on its big mac ... never tried one of those due to the diffculty of ordering it without the "special sauce" (now where's that vomiting emoticon when you need it ...)
