Ganges is possibly my favorite restaurant in Beijing (I know, my favorite should be Chinese, right?). I frequent both the Sanlitun and Wudaokou locations, and have begun eating there about once a week. The staff is friendly, and there always seems to be an actual Indian manager around to sort out any confusion that might arise. One time we had a confusion with our order (I think they forgot to ring something in) and the manager came and profusely apologized and gave us free drinks, a kind of attention that isn't so common in China!
The food is amazing (I love the vindaloo), the menu is huge and the portions are generous. It's a great place to take anyone -- plenty of options for both meat and veggie eaters, and though it's a little pricey by Chinese standards, it's still pretty cheap compared to a similar joint in the West (plus I usually have enough for lunch the next day). Highly recommend to anyone!
