I think I complained before about several seemingly fake reviews for this place.
If they were fake I'm not sure why they bothered risking it because this place is great.
Veggie Samosas, Chicken Tika, Palak Paneer and Paneer Paratha were all fresh and delicious as in Jerry's review.
The palak-paneer was a more generous portion then I'm used to in other places.
It's been a while since I ate Indian, but my girlfriend assures me that this place was the cheapest Indian we've been to in Beijing. I think most things hovered around the 35-40 rmb mark, and 35 kuai for a chilled glass of Erdinger suited me fine.
The staff were polite and helpful, though it looked like they might have benefited from an extra pair of hands at one point. Had to ask for the bill a couple of times.
The place was very clean, cozy and never got too noisy despite filling up.
They have the obligatory projector showing hilarious (to me) Indian music videos, seems to be the law to have these in Beijing, anyway it was surprisingly non-intrusive.
The most noise came from several bird cages at one side of the room, some sort of parrot who would occasionally make an ear-splitting chirp.
Personally I'm against having a caged animal as a pet but I can see how some people might find it endearing.
I don't like caging animals but I am aware that others do.
One customer tried to get a bird to say "free-drinks!" to which the bird would just amusingly reply "mei-you".
Anyway, I'll be back to try their buffet at some point.
I love the fact that I'll no longer need to deal with Sanlitun when I want Indian food.
Edited to hurt less peoples feelings.

"Personally I'm against having a caged animal as a pet but I can see how some people might find it endearing."
Really?
You can see how someone can keep an animal in lifetime solitary confinement "endearing"?
That's funny, I can't.
Re: Loved it, will be back.
Great, you're arguing about the wording of my sentence.
Perhaps I should have said: "I don't like caging animals but I am aware that others do."
Go get them!
Re: Loved it, will be back.
There, fixed it for you.
Now you can rest easy knowing that those birds have been set free from the cage of my rampant endearment-assumptions.
