Review of Long March Space
Long March is one of 798's longer-term and more serious galleries, that showcases a broad range of local contemporary artists. The large space allows for some big installation pieces, but they also exhibit everything from paintings to video.
The space is run by a loose collective, so the exhibitions are often "works in progress" or parts of larger projects rather than collections of completed, stand-alone works. But if you're interested in the more serious and innovative end of Chinese contemporary art, this is definitely one of the spaces worth checking out when you're at 798.
