Review of Chengde
Admittedly, this is a nice place, where you can hang out with your folks around the lake or back in the mountains. but it's just not worth it, I mean the ticket price. BTW，it's not RMB 60 and 90 any more, they raised the price to RMB 100 and 120 respectively. Think about it, the Summer Resort was just a place to rest for the emperor when he's not in Beijing. but the ticket price is even higher than the Forbidden City. I'd choose to visit the Forbidden City twice, and not to bother with transportation and accommodation.
