First, the good: The grilled meat wasn't too bad. Yes, it was mostly beef, but if you want Chicken or Pork, I'm sure you can get that someplace else. And, given that it was beef, some cuts were surprisingly tender (notably the shoulder). And they used just enough seasoning to let the meat's true flavor come through without overwhelming it. By Beijing standards, it was good.

The buffet was hit and miss. Some dishes were OK, even good (like the black beans) while others...we will get to that later...Some of the desserts were actually worth eating and resembled actual desserts. But I didn't go back for seconds.

The bad: the chocolate fountain looked nice, but tasted like watered down hershey's syrup. The meat was slow coming out (aside from the bacon wrapped stuff, which was constantly being offered.) Some of the plates felt a bit dirty. Some cuts of meat were either dry, chewy, salty or all three.

The Ugly: The sushi was inedible, and one of the pieces I tried the salmon was so old it was literally dried out on top: I bit into it, and almost lost my meal. Even the rice had dried out bits mixed in. Horrible!

Finally, don't go there expecting 'all you can drink Ying Ling beer': local beer is 36 yuan/glass.

But, on the bright side, it really is better than Golden Hans. Only because Golden Hans is so horrible, I'd feel guilty letting my cat eat from their buffet. Seriously. On the other hand, Golden Hans beer is approximately the same as real beer, nearly drinkable, and much cheaper than 36/yuan per glass, so its all swings and roundabouts.
