A bit pricey for what you get

About a month ago, I went to the Expat Show and picked up a promotional coupon for Arrail. If you register with them by the end of April, the normal 100rmb registration is waived and you are entitled to receive a discounted treatment (2000rmb for orthodontics, 2000rmb for cold whitening or 200rmb for a cleaning). I made an appointment for a cleaning at their Guomao location and went there today to cash my email voucher.

The place was not crowded and I was seen immediately. The dentist spoke decent English (enough to answer my questions and explain what's going on). She did a quick exam and then cleaned my teeth using a water pick. Afterwards, she used an electric brush and toothpaste for "polishing". The environment was quite relaxing and resembled similar setups I've seen in the U.S. I'd say the equipment was on par with equipment from the West and the dentist's demeanor was just as professional. Overall, I found the treatment quick and smooth and it felt great to have nice and clean teeth afterwards.

It was only when I was paying for the treatment that I realized a normal cleaning there costs 400rmb, which sounds very high to me for what you get. So, while I received good treatment and only paid 200rmb for what would have been a 500rmb treatment (including the registration fee), I'm on the fence about whether I will go back for any other treatment.
