I went there the other day.
It is a big place with a shop, café, restaurant, bar etc...
There has been an effort about the decoration although it's not suiting my taste (what's with all those plastic flowers ?)
The café looks very pop royal, I had a glimpse at the menu and saw and afternoon tea with cakes for two for 200RMB... will come back to try it.
We went to the restaurant and tried :
the foie gras (flat and tasteless),
the Tibetan Yak Tatar (more like a Carpaccio, interesting but not worth 95RMB),
some prawns and scallops (very good)
and mussels (the best I had in Beijing although the most expensive ones as well...150RMB)
We had the red berry stew for the dessert (would have preferred to have it warm)
The service was friendly although not 100% professional (you don't pile up plates in front of the client when you're working in a so called Royal House with Royal prices).
We paid 300RMB pax included two glasses of wine.
In overall not bad....but could be better
I will come back.....just for the mussels !
