My favorite food happens to be Italian, so having "Annie's" next door (somewhat pricy) and deliver for free is a huge plus.
[EDIT]: If you want to pick the right times to come here:
1) Towards the beginning of happy hour this place is wide open and just barely getting it's customers coming in.
2) This place just about fills every night when the live musicians are in the house, about to go up on stage and more people arrive throughout the performances.
So if you want to come for a quiet drink, snack and/or meal, come before happy, or at the beginning and you'll get great prices with privacy! If you want a lively experience with a group of friends, come around 8pm->til late, this place always has a fun crowd filled with foreigners, students and local Chinese of every age group!
- Only two beers on tap/draft, Tiger and Carlsberg; they are still good beers though.
+ The setting is great, they have good lighting throughout the establishment and control the brightness of each light with the turn of a nob so if you sit down somewhere and it's too bright for you, they turn it down to a comfortable setting. At night they usually light a candle at your table instead of having your light on to set a very calm mood which combines with their live blues and jazz music to make a great experience.
+ The happy hour prices are great, usual alcohol costs but in a very comfortable setting.
+ The service is very good, the bar help gives you space and doesn't jump down your throat like usual bars that just see you as a walking wallet; they only approach you when you first enter, or if you look like you need something.
+ The seating available is perfect. You can sit in front of the stage at typical round tables, a longer 10 person table, up near the entrance at a lower counter style area that is long enough for 6 people or behind that at a raised counter table that seats about 14 people. There's an area on the opposite side from the entrance (still with view of the stage) that has comfortable sofa couches and chairs with round tables. Towards the bar there are more raised counter tops, about three rows of them that seat 4 or 5 each. The case in point here is that there is every option depending on your party size or what you feel would be comfortable all with easy access to go to the bathroom or bar and still see the stage from every area.
There are little complaints about specific situations that have happened, but this isn't a review of morality and intelligence, it's a review of whether you the reader can enjoy yourself here on an average night out. As posted below me, complaining about fighting with the manager is a personal problem between two parties, not a flaw in the establishment.
