OUR WAITRESS HAD LEPROSY

Never been to one of these establishments before, will never step foot in one again.

As I was there on a jolly I found this place hilariously bad in a Fawlty Towers-esque way. Had I actually had to pay a single bean in this place I would have been SEETHING and INCREDULOUS with RAGE.

Ummm, where to start?

I thought the whole point of the Hooters franchise was to have good looking waitresses with an outgoing personality? Even accounting for the Chinese take on things and the usual Beijing customer relations skills I have to admit I was expecting a little better.

Our waitress had not only fallen out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down. The tree must have also beaten her relentlessly with a big stick. She was so badly inept, charmless and lacking in any redeeming qualities at all it was bewildering. One of our party had to wait 30 minutes for a beer, half of the menu was not available, half of the food orders were taken before she buggered off to hover over the cash register scratching her head like an ape for another half hour.

Of about 20 dishes ordered, around 8 turned up. Three people received non of their food at all and they were given the food to take home (we were there for three hours). The prices are obscene given the quality and quantity of the food and the atmosphere is terrible. Apart from a handful of sad and lonely expats propping up the bar, the clientel seems mostly to be made up of ‘business lunches’ which must be the only explanation why this place is still in business. Anyone spending their own cash in this place needs their head checking.

If you must go I recommend sinking several double long Islands to numb the pain. They made the place half bearable, and so they should do at 100rmb a pop!
