Foreign dining options in Beijing are rarely successful in getting me excited, but Tairyo is defintely an exception to this. I have eaten at several of the different locations and the quality of the food and overally experience never fails in any department.
The food is fantastic, with the steak some of the best I have tasted in Beijing. The chefs are great fun, especially if you get them drunk. The waitresses seem to have infinate patience with large groups of foreigners getting completely hammered on saki and food is delivered promptly and without fuss. There seem's to be no mandate from the management/owners to slow or delay service in order to save money and scam customers which leads to this place being packed out night after night, which of course leads to a great atmosphere.
Really is amazing how very few other restraunt owners in the city have cottoned on to the fact that giving customers exactly what they want = obscenely successful business!
