Don't get fooled by fake reviews, thee people are scammers.
I am not talking about the service...which I will never try but to the fact you pay twice already expensive stuff.
Here is the example.
I live near Dongzhimen, I know Nathan and they are not bad, great lemonade. I wanted to order a quick meal and didn't feel like going to fetch it myelf so I went on jinshisong, which is the only way to get it delivered since they dont do.
I checked what I wanted, checked the price but something seemed wrong, it was defenitely too much. I have a menu from Nathan so I compared the prices and the result was that if you order through jinshisong you pay 2/3 more than the price you pay if you get it yourself...and they added also 4yuan for the delivery...).
ORDER IN NATHAN'S
Cheeseburger 22
Medium Coke 6
Medium fries 12
Set Meal 32 yuan
Through Jishisong
Cheeseburger 25
Medium Coke 9
Medium Fries 14
Delivery 4 yuan (something like 300m)
Total 52 yuan
I dont have anything against paying for delivery 5/6/10yuan
I dont like these cheap tricks that I consider not more than a way to steal (yes is a robbery) people as much money as possible.
McDonalds get 7 kuai and doesnt try to cheat on prices, These guys get practically commissions on everythig you order (I bet you get the same on every other restaurant on their site)
Endline: I want to pay for what a buy and for the service, don't want to

Re: Don't get fooled by fake reviews.
well mcdonnalds also gets the cut from the food they serve as well. But since Jingsong is not Nathan's it only gets money through delivery and 10 kuai for the occasional delivery is not a reliable business model.
Also Nathan's fake reviews are far more annoying since they seem to think consumers are complete idiots and do not make their reviews believable at all, for example fake "Food Snobs" talking about how amazing the fast food experience is and then listing all of their food items are simply amazing. They then top it off with a positive negative or a common negative like "Sometimes the lines are TOO long!"
Re: Don't get fooled by fake reviews.
if you cant be competitive stay out of business...thats the ONLY "business model" in a modern market, and you can learn it without spending 25k on a useless MBA in China.
Also...you totally miss the point since I am not talking about fake reviews (can be annoying agreeded...if you are totally naive!!!) but to the fact that they overcharge items to get 40% out of each order.
If you do a little maths you can understand that on a 1000Y of orders they get up to 400Y from it...seriously??? this means that they need around 10000Y of orders to make 4000Y, around 50/60 small orders (that in a city such as Beijing you do in 10 minutes at lunch time)
Again...the OCCASIONAL deliver??? Jesus Christ they are a delivery company in a city of 20 million...if they manage to do OCCASIONAL delivery well again, stay out of business.

For a moment I was almost fooled into believing you knew what you were talking about, until you started rambling on like an incoherent drunk.
Re: Don't get fooled by fake reviews.
Surely it's only a rip off if they claim that prices are the same? This one chooses to add a percentage on orders, others choose a flat fee and the customer decides which is the best value. Seems a bit harsh to give one star for a service you've never tried.
Re: Don't get fooled by fake reviews.
We actually only have a handful of restaurants where the prices are slightly higher than dining in. Out of the ~100 restaurants that we partner with, we have a few restaurants with prices slightly higher than their dine-in prices.
As you know, each restaurant has their own cost-structures and we are providing them an option to outsource their deliveries to us. We are also serving the end-consumer, by giving them an alternative to dining-in, in addition to the other food delivery companies in Beijing.
If you feel strongly against the fact that we charge a slightly higher price a particular restaurant (<10% of our restaurants are higher than in-restaurant), you can choose to dine-in at the restaurant itself, or speak to their manager and ask them to give us a better deal!
Additionally, we are actually trying to pass off the savings to our customers as we have a number of restaurants that have agreed to give our customers 15rmb off their delivery if they live within 3km of the restaurant.
Finally, we know that we aren't perfect, but we do have a new website in the works that will hopefully exceed everyone's expectations.
Instead of leaving a review for a service that you haven't tried (based on prices that are available for everyone to see), why don't you try out our service first?
At that point, if you have some constructive criticism, please share it with me: tim@jinshisong.com
We are here to provide you with the best at home dining experience in the world! If we've come up short, then order from us again and we'll try even harder!
Re: Don't get fooled by fake reviews.
This are nothing but some of the tricks that many follow in this industry. Its like showing you what you need in bigger words and which needs to be hidden are in the smaller words like in an policy.
Finally its the human tendency to earn a profit.
