Bad delivery service (revised)

I made an order around 11am to make sure that I didn't get caught up during the lunch hour rush, and was promised a delivery within half an hour. It's been over an hour and my order still has not arrived, and have to leave my office in 10 minutes for a meeting for the rest of the day. I will now have to go to the meeting on an empty stomach. I have called the call center several times only to be met with a "ma shang" each time. I am extremely disappointed with Green Bites.

If I'm in the area I might check the place out but I will not be ordering from their delivery service again.

This definitely is a rare service failure for us and we'll look into it very seriously.

I originally wrote this review about the bad service I received at Green Bites, but I feel compelled to write a second as almost immediately after posting the first, I got an apology from their team and an offer of free dumplings the next time I ordered. It looked like they took this very seriously because they knew exactly which order I was talking about.

They explained that the person on the phone was an intern and incorrectly quoted that it would take half an hour. Apparently she should have said one hour because they are quite far from my office. I was also told there was some miscommunication between her and the delivery guy who got lost on the way over.

I took them up on the offer and true to their word, my order yesterday was free, and came in within 15 minutes. I didn't know they could deliver that quickly...

In terms of the actual food, the dumplings were pretty good. However, I am most impressed by their follow up service and for this reason I am upping the original one star to 4 stars. This sort of care is rare in China. I would order from them again.
