After looking at a recent blogger post on this site, I went to check out the Monday rib special at T.G.I. Fridays.
The ribs were actually pretty good. The meat was indeed tender, and almost as the menu stated "fall-off-the-bone" tender. They weren't worldbeaters, mind you, but they were pretty good. And the price, 78rmb, was accurate, I felt.
Not as good as Home Plate's ribs, to be sure, but much better than Home Plate's price(almost 25 USD)
It's interesting to note that formerly overpriced places like Friday's have become cheaper due to the profiteering ethos exhibited at many local foreign-concept joints. If you go to Friday's, check out the price of the beer/beer specials. Perhaps the prices are better than most other Beijing foreign-dining spots. Something seems askew.
