I had read all the other positive reviews of Lime Cafe, and as such was interested to try it. Overall, it was good, on the expensive side, the menu is a tad seafood heavy and the food is not overly spicy -- that will be good for some visitors, and disappoint others in search of spicier fare. The atmosphere is pleasant, the seats are quite comfy, the place was full (both indoors and outdoors) the night I visited, and the owner appears to be Thai.
My biggest surprise and complaint is that for a place called Lime Cafe, the lime soda is made with bottled lime juice, and was served with a slice of LEMON. That's Thai food in Beijing circa 2000, not now in the age when limes can be purchased readily. That doesn't really send the right message from a place that is otherwise a reasonable representative of authentic Thai food. I would visit again but probably order a Singha instead of lime soda -- and hopefully that won't be served with lemon either.
