I got invited to brunch here last weekend with some friends. Despite wanting to like the restaurant for its setting and decor, this place is simply a dump masquerading as a charming hutong restaurant. (Frankly, you could get a better meal and better service from the KFC just a few doors up the hutong.)

The veggie burger I ordered was a chunky patty of dog food topped with a limp piece of wet lettuce between two massive pieces of doughy bread. The soggy fries on the side were just adding insult to injury. The coffee took ages to come out and even though our table ordered 3 cups of coffee at the same time, the coffee came out one cup at a time for no good reason at all. The tuna salad that my friend ordered looked like something a 6 year old could put together in half the time. I tried to talk to her about the salad, but I couldn't hear myself think because the place was so loud and chaotic.

The food is also outrageously overpriced. You can do yourself a favor before you order and take the price of the dish you want, divide by 6.23 to covert the price to USD, and then you can stab yourself for even considering eating here. Each time people visit this place and spend their money here, they are supporting substandard food and service. Please stop supporting this horrible restaurant. We deserve better.

Mr. Beijingles,

I have only read two of your reviews and both have been highly negative of vegetarian options at non-vegetarian restaurants. Not only that, but usually they are related to veggie burgers or some other vegetable concoction that was never meant to be made with anything but meat. Order eggs florentine next time and a side of muesli to spare us from your complaints.
