I had a simple Margarita, Arrabiata and Parmaham with some friends, but the pizzas did not have a big crispy crust, like they do in Napoli, instead swamped with tomato sauce and cheese. Basil leaves were neither baked together with the pizza Margarita in the oven (like they do in Italy) so the pizza had very little basil flavor. Probably the biggest disappointment was that the pizza bread base was really flat on the parma ham - Almost not edible without drinking water. The tomato base was good with hints of strong Oregano flavor, however, the cheese tasted like the plastic cheeses like they use in Annies, so probably sourced within China. I personally prefer fresh mozzarella, and being an Italian given the tell tale signs above this is nowhere near authentic Italian pizza I'm afraid and probably, neither supervised by an Italian head chef.
I never paid for my meal (as my company does) but the prices here seem higher than some prices than in some semi-decent restaurants Milan. Being a doctor, The name lmplus does awfully remind me of Lupus..but that aside, the food is mediocre and marginally better than Annies. Altogether, the restaurant looks the part but is probably just another money making exercise in Beijing (e.g. shoving so many tables and chairs in a small area near an serviced affluent area)rather than anything else.
